We recommend that you clean the location where you want to apply the label for best adhesion. For most metal surfaces, rubbing alcohol works well. You only need to remove the dirt and any oils that may be on the surface. Once applied, the label can be difficult to remove and reapply without damage.

To help peel the labels off of the carrier sheet, it helps to remove the surrounding material such that only the labels are left on the carrier.

Find a location on the piece that would see the least amount of abrasion. The labels may be wrapped around themselves on cylindrical surfaces or flat surfaces. Standard office scissors will cut the label if you need to shorten them for placement. For best adhesion, minimize the amount of touching the adhesive side of the label. Full bonding strength of the label will also occur 1-2 days after application.
